Classy in Black | Threads on 8th

Outfit - Threads on 8th, Threads on 8th Facebook, Instagram  |  Photos - Rachel Kaye Photography

You know what I love?? Dresses. Yes, dresses they're my weakness and you know what's even more my weakness. Dresses I can't wear on a daily basis. I'm not going to lie to you, I have more dresses in my closet then I do tees. They're not just like Summery go-to dresses no; they're dresses you'd wear to an event. How may times can Kristin say the word dresses?

So a while back Rachel from Rachel Kaye Photography and I collaborated with Threads on 8th, and they had this dress picked out for me to wear. Oh My Gawwwd. Like it's classy but then a little sexy and ahhhh It's the definition of perfection. Yep!

Local Lovin' | Vander Mill Ciders

Last week Matt and I took the week off! The day before we left for Traverse City we had dropped Millie off at my parents and on our way home we decided to stop by Vander Mill and check it out! Prior to going, I had purchased their ciders at Horrocks, and I enjoyed them! Their ciders are delicious as well as their food!

One thing I REALLY love about Vander Mill Ciders is that they make everything in the store/restaurant, their menu changes with season. They get all of the food and produce from local farmers, so whatever you eat and drink there, know you're supporting local!

The whole place was super neat. The people were great, food and drinks were fantastic and the whole restaurant had a really awesome vibe to it.

Check out VanderMill Cider's here

Sweater Weather

Sweater - Down To Earth  Pants - Down To Earth  Scarf - Zara  Booties - DSW  Purse - DSW

Fall colors are just so darn pretty. The crispness and the temperature is just right. It's perfect weather to bundle up in big sweaters and scarfs! I'm enjoying this weather as much as possible until the the big puffy marshmallow coats take over this blog.

Now this is a random photo, well Matt and I went to Starbizzie after this little photo session and ordered a white chocolate mocha with two pumps of raspberry and guys, It's heaven in a cup soooo sooooo freakin' amazing.

Fall Lips

I love a good lip color, I think they're a great foundation to the face. According to Jenna Marbles, they're the Las Vegas of your face which I 100% agree with! (yes I just quoted Jenna Marbles.) Lol! Especially fall lipsticks I love the darker hues I think they just add a great statement to your look. Also, if you don't feel like goin' all out with your eye's no prob bob just throw on a bold lip, and you're good to go.

1. Bold RedNow I think a bold red can go in just about any season. But I think in the fall and winter it's a bit more acceptable for a day to day basis. Because of the darker and more muted clothing styles in cooler weather a bold red lip just pulls the outfit together.

2. Very Berry, Berry lip colors are myyyy favvvvoooriteeee! I think the can just about complement any skin tone. The hues in berry color bring out just about any eye color and "hint hint" they make your teeth look extra white, now I don't know how or why but all I know is that the cooler tone of the color really makes those pearly whites look extra white!

3. Suede NudeNude lip colors are a great for a day to day basis if you do not want to go for that bold red. My favorite is to pair a nude lip with a dramatic smoky eye.

4. Just PeachyA darker peach color is perfect for the fall; It is a great go-to lipstick if you're not feeling a bold color or a bare lip. Go for the darker peachy colors they're a great day-to-day look.

Happy Saturday Guys!!

This week was great, busy but great! Lots of exciting things happening and it's a bit overwhelming and scary, but growth and changes are scary and good, right??

Anyways leeeeets talk about this outfit. Seriously obsessed. The dress has a real edge to it but then the sparkles to "girl" it up! I dunno, all of it is just perfection, and I'll go as far to say I'm in love! Also this photo shoot with Rachel was awesome this was actually for a winter project and well, It's October and no snow. I'm not complaining about that because I wouldn't put it past Michigan to snow in October. So our "snow" solution was Epsom salt. Yes, that awesome white dust you see in the photos is Epsom salt #epsomsaltinhairfordayyyyzz but totally worth it because the photos came out awesome as per usual with Rachel's skills.

Well, I hope you guys have a beautiful and terrific weekend!! xo

Mixing Textures

Boots - Rachel's Boots // Outfit - Down To Earth // Photos - Rachel Kaye Photography

From suede to knit to leather this outfit is fullll of different texture and fabrics, and i'm not going to lie, I kind of love it! I'm loving cropped sweaters for this fall, I think they're a cute way to funk up an outfit and add some "coolness" and "trendiness" to an outfit.

Purple Lace

Outfit - Down To Earth (Can you tell I'm obsessed with this store?!) // Photography - Rachel Kaye Photography // Rachel's Style Blog

I'm completely in love with this dress. I think it can be a great transitional dress but also will be gorgeous in the winter. Pair some black tights and booties with it, oh I cannot wait!
Yesterday was awesome I spent time with Rachel from Rachel Kaye Photography and we just drank tons of lattes, talked and did photos. Sounds like a fab day to me.
