Little White Dress

I don't usually like to overload you with photos but with Rachel's photos I truly cannot choose from! Her style and art behind each photo gives me goosebumps, she captures little moments that others don't even see and being in front of the camera they are details I don't even notice. She's a true talent, and I'm soo soo proud to call that girl my friend.

Now that raved about my giiirl can we PLEASE talk about this dress?! Rachel and I went into Down To Earth to style this shoot, and I walked to the back and this dress was just hanging there staring at me telling me to pick her up and buy her, she needed a home! So I couldn't say no and I took her home! (Yes, I know I'm a bit crazy.) But (like I say with everything I purchase) I really think this dress is a good staple piece in my wardrobe, it fits like a glove and the detailing on it is stunning but subtle.

I have to say it was an honor working with Sholeh and the girls and Down To Earth, they're so personable and right when you walk into the store they treat you like they've known you for ages.
I love those girls they'll always be my little family.

Planting Succulents

This Summer I've learned something quite interesting about myself, I enjoy getting my hands a little dirty, yes a little dirty. I don't know what it is but there's something therapeutic digging and getting your hands in the soil. Last Summer when Matt and I moved in together we rented and so I didn't do much weeding and "out doorsey" stuff. October we bought a house then winter was here, and now Its summer and I can't believe I actually enjoy being outside and just doing "stuff!" When I was living with my parents I didn't do diddly squat. They'd ask me 100 times to just water flowers, and it was such a hassle for me! (Sorry Mom and Dad!) Well, that was a really long explanation to say that I now love gardening and succulents.
Now I'm no PRO at succulents this is just what I have personally done and that has seemed to work. It worked well enough that my little succulents are still alive so to me, that's success!
I bought these little babies at Horrocks as well as the little pot. The soil and stones I purchased at a local Home Depot.
So first STEP
1 // Because I don't know anything about planting, and I didn't know what to do about the hole in the bottom of the pot, so I legit cut a plastic plate and shoved it down in the bottom. Now I understand that's a bit "jankey" but oh well it worked! (It's probably there for a specific reason so if any of you know you're more than welcome to share ha-ah!)

2 // I poured the soil to fill the entire pot and placed the stones on top then mixed them all together. I also watered the soil to add some moisture to it. I don't know why I did this It's just what Southern Living said to do sooo that's what I did!

3// I gently took the little succulents out of the containers and made two holes in the soil and gently placed them in the holes then filled the spaces around them with more soil.

4// Then I just put some stones on top of the soil and super gently tucked them under the plants!

annnnd VOILA!

I hope you enjoyed this mini tutorial it was super simple and pretty self-explanatory! Hope you guys have a super week!
