Fashion and Decor

Good Morning Everyone! So I'll cover the maybe awkwardness? Not sure. So Sunny has a new little look to her, yes I changed it up a bit around here I thought it was time, and I wanted something a bit "cuter" if that makes any sense... You know when you just get bored and your just like I NEED CHANGE well that's totally what happened yesterday. Not sure if it's because of all the changes happening in my life lately that I felt like Sunny needed some too?? I'm not sure, but I love it, and I hope you do too!

Anyyywayyys,
I hope you all had a terrific weekend; I sure did! Matt and I took a little trip to the east side of the state for a Tiger's game and also IKEEEAAAA! Yes, Ikea, and I truly lost my crapppp. I don't think I had been so excited to shop, although it was a tad overwhelming, by the end of our shopping trip I was truly glad it was done. It is just so. much. stuff! But it defiantly soothed my urge to shop and go there, I think I'm good with ikea for a while now. :)

Timeless Florals

Free People First Kiss Dress

First Kiss Maxi - Free People // Heels - Lulu's // Photography - Rachel Kaye Photography Rachel's Style Blog

I first spotted this dress at Last of the Moheak's blog and fell in love, I blame you Cammy, I blame you.
Annnwayyys, this dress is such perfection, from the fabric to the length. The back has just a bit of a train to it to where it makes the dress unique and not like every other maxi. I think this dress will bring me through the fall and possibly winter, but I know I will be breaking it out once spring comes back around. This dress is a classic and timeless.
Thank you Free People for making such a beaut!

Meijer Simply Give Campaign | Community Concert

I need to start out by thanking Meijer for this great opportunity and how much I love and appreciate this Simply Give Campaign. It makes me so happy to see such a huge company giving back. Meijer's customers have donated more than $516,000 this past spring to support and give to hungry families. (this totally warms my heart.) With the donations from Meijer customers and Meijer themselves they've raised more than 1.4 Million. (mind blowing!) I couldn't be happier to be supporting such a great company!

So when Meijer invited Matt and I to attend the community concert we were totally excited! The "vibes" were great there, and everyone was having a terrific time knowing that all funds were donated to the campaign and helping families in need. It's amazing to see a community excited to do such good things.

Again, Thank You Meijer for the opportunity and all you do.

Hippy at Heart.

Outfit -  Down To Earth // Photos - Rachel Kaye Photography // Rachel's Style Blog

I hope you all are having a terrific week! Mine has been quite busy but great!
I guess you could say I'm a little bit of a hippy at heart. I'm most comfortable when I'm in this kind of "attire" I feel careless and just myself. As I grow up I've defiantly noticed that my style has become more classic, but I need to sneak in a little bit of laid back clothing here and there.

Give yourself a happier day

Go over your goals
So it's not every morning that I wake up ready to take on the day, when I am feeling a bit lethargic I like to go over my goals and aspirations before I even take my head off the pillow. This helps me feel more motivated and ready for the day!

Take a break
Go for a walk, bake a quick batch of cookies do anything that is the opposite of what you were just doing. Essentially you should be taking a break every 20 minutes, but to many people, that just won't happen. Try your hardest to take a bit of time and do something you enjoy even if it is just taking a minute to read a paragraph in a book, do anything.

Organize
Take time to sit down, let your tea steep and go over things you'd like to get done that day. Make sure you put your absolute priorities listed at the top and less important things towards the bottom. Don't overwhelm your day with absolute must do's because it's most likely you wont get any done if you put too much on your plate.

Let go of things that no longer serve you.

Now this is one that I do not anyone can ever be at Unconscious competence at. This is one that I personally work hard to grow in. This sort of goes along with they saying forgive and forget. Forget those things that do not serve you. Don't hold onto those grudges enjoy the small things in the day even if its just a grain of glitter. Don't worry about what happened to you seven months ago, five years ago or even what's going to happen to you next summer. Just focus on the now and find something you can love and appreciate once you make that a habit, this concept will not be so hard to do.
