Stripes on Floral

Sandal Heels LuLu's // Striped Crop Top Forever 21 // Floral Skirt Old A Boutique in Saugatuck
First things first, please excuse my insanely pale bod. This girl did not have time to throw on self-tanner before this shoot! Now that that's said let me continue. haha..
I honestly was never daring enough to put stripes on florals, I thought It'd look quite "tacky." Then I was browsing Pinterest and saw thisthis and this  I was instantly sold. Let me take a minute and tell you how much I adore these heels. I have a REAL bad habit of getting shoes that don't go with anything, like bright teal sequin gold with ruffles heels that are gorgeous, but do not go with anything! (yes, those shoes that I just described do exist, I'll try to sneak them in a post here shortly!) So when I saw these shoes on Lulu's I thought they'd be great for a great statement piece, and they so are! They're super comfortable and truly go with anything! Now I should probably wrap this post up before I keep rambling! Hope you guys have a terrific weekend!! xo

Blush Hues

I got short of breath when I first saw this photo. The contour, highlights, "blushy" hues, winged liner just everything in this photo is complete perfection. I've always been a fan of simplicity; less is more type of thing and I think her look is just that. I love the simplicity of the winged liner and nothing else, no heavy blush or lip color just a "blushy" hue. I've put together nine products that I think would give you this exact look! Most of the products you probably already have dupes of or something similar in your makeup bag, but the combination of these products will give you this glam but effortless look.

Local Lovin' | Horrocks Market

Dress Buffalo Bobs // Scarf Down To Earth // Booties Steve Madden // Jacket Forever 21
Firstly, Happy Good Friday Everyone!!
So I thought I'd start a new segment on my blog called Local Lovin' this will be where I share my favorite new places and local businesses! As you probably know, I've always been a big BIG fan of supporting and shopping local. A lot of my clothing I do buy locally. (not all but I try!) On this little bloggie I've raved a lot about small local business in Grand Haven, Mi. Now that Grand Rapids is my new stomping grounds I'm slowly but surely finding my new favorite places to eat, shop and to buy fresh produce.
Horrocks is an independent Market that has a GINORMOUS selection of great food, super fresh produce, great greenhouse, home decor and a really really reallyyyyyy awesome candy selection. They pretty much have everything. But of course, as you can tell; my favorite is the floral section. Rachel and I went to Horrocks one day and that girl is quite the visionary she had the idea to shoot some photos which I was kind of iffy about it at first but the girl is obviously brilliant, the photos turned out awesome!
So guys, you must go over to Rachel's page and check her out because she's amazing, and if you come to michigan or if you live in Michigan make sure to head over to Horocks and check it out, It's pretty cool and every time I go It's always fresh new, and trendy.

Have a fab weekend guys!

Closet Ready

Call me a retail junkie but to me there is nothing more perfect and satisfying than finding a new statement piece to add to my closet. (I'm a firm believer in Retail Therapy.) Since you're here I'm assuming you're on the same page as me and nothing is more exhilarating than adding a new "statement" to that wardrobe.
I try really really hard to add something different each season. With any of these colorful pieces you'll be sure you're on trend for this season!

Unexpected Preppy

I've always been a big big fan of the structured but girly look.. Over the past couple of years I've really started understanding my personal style.. In the beginning I was quite confused I knew I loved bright colors but then again I'm a huge fan of basics and structured clothing.. When I started going back through my style board on pinterest I noticed a pattern of style it was all kinda "unexpected preppy." Kind of girly but in a way just structured. So I thought I'd put together some photos that I'm absolutely in love with. You can tell is feminine but yet sophisticated. What do you guys think your personal style is?
