Coffee Scrub DIY

DIY Coffee Scrub

I know it looks like poo ^^^ but hear me out..
So today we're going to get a little personallll or a little TMI. Since it's getting a little cooler the skin is getting a bit dry and itchy but when I read an easy DIY using coconut oil, ground coffee, cinnamon and honey I thought i'd give it a go. Guess what, VOILA it works wonderful!
So here are the benefits,

DIY Coffee Scrub

Ground Coffee
Coffee is full of antioxidants which makes it a great anti-inflammatory. The caffeine brings out moisture from your skin to help it look softer and firm. It's a great exfoliant removing the dead skin cells off of your skin making it super soft and bright!

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is full of vitamins and minerals which will make your skin super soft and moisturized. Heres a great article on the benefits of Coconut Oil and you can read my post I did here about 50 uses of coconut oil.

Cinnamon
This helps your skin clear up from bacteria it brings your blood to the surface and will smooth out fine lines.

Honey
Honey is super soothing to the skin and also (research says) that honey can help speed up the healing of wounds. Honey also helps why dry/combo skin. It's an antibacterial so helps with acne. It's also full of antioxidants so great for aging and is very moisturizing so helps your skin have that glow we all strive for. One more plus, helps to clarify pores, it opens them up so it's easy to unclog.
After using this scrub (if using on the face) It'd be great to do an at home facial mask to help clarify the skin even more.

  1. I've been wanting to try a mixture like this, but I know as soon as I did I would trip and fall onto my bed sheets with this mixture all over my body. Haha.

    1. Hahah oh goodness well don't do that! The scrub I feel is best to use in the shower, that way the warm water and steam open your pores and you'd get the most benefit out of the scrub that way! xx

  2. I had a "Spa Night" with the girls and we did DIY hair mask and face masks. They were awesome! Because I was on a detox, we did Mocktails instead of alcoholic drinks and they were so yummy! I look forward to trying this one out!
